Microchipping:
Microchips are a way of permanently identifying your pet. The chip, which is the size of a grain of rice, is implanted / injected under the skin between the shoulder blades.
Each microchip is programmed with an unique identification number that links your pet to your home address and contact information. The information is picked up by a special scanner that is available at our practice and most rescue organizations.
Once we have implanted the chip, your information is sent to Virbac, who adds your information to the nationwide database.
These details can be updated as needed via the Virbac online platform or the Virbac app.
This quick and easy identification gives you life-long peace of mind.
